The 7,390 visitors and 385 exhibitors at it-sa 2014 in Nuremberg were agreed that IT security is now more important than ever. With growth in the number of exhibitors (+8 per cent) and visitors (+6 per cent), including distinctly more international guests at the exhibition (+16 per cent), it-sa confirmed its importance for IT security experts from Germany and abroad. Some 250 presentations at three forums, eleven presentation series in the accompanying congress programme Congress@it-sa, political VIPs and supporting events like the IT Baseline Protection Day organized by the Federal Office for Information Security or the BITKOM Executive Dinner underlined the importance of it-sa.

With 385 exhibitors from 21 countries – another record level of participation – it-sa has established itself as the event with the largest spectrum of exhibitors in Europe after only five years. it-sa 2014 has set new records for all exhibition parameters. It has also shown once again how accurately it-sa brings together the providers of IT security products and services with the right partners from companies and official agencies. Because exhibitors and visitors were equally enthusiastic in their assessment of the event: Whereas 98 per cent of the visitors were satisfied with the products ranging from APT defence to access protection, 92 per cent of the exhibitors praised the high quality of the visitors as a very positive factor. it-sa is the central gathering for IT security experts. No other event offers a comparably comprehensive overview of the market with exhibitors from three continents and all segments of the IT security sector. The positive feedback from the IT security experts and decision-makers show that it-sa is their ideal platform for the professional exchange of views at a high level.
